IMG_7427Hello friends, I’m so excited to share with you what I did today! First of all, I got my braces off on Tuesday! No more brace face grace. And also, I chopped 10 inches of my hair off!

Today, November 22 is National Donate Your Hair Day. Pantene’s campaign Beautiful Lengths donates hair to The American Cancer Society wig banks. The wigs then get donated to cancer patients for free. So far, they have given over 24,000 wigs to woman across the country. Pantene’s goal is to help woman undergoing cancer to feel beautiful again, through providing them with real hair wigs. Pantene couldn’t have put it in better words, “To us, it’s hair, but to women with cancer, it’s hope.”

If you’ve been debating on whether or not to cut your hair to donate, I highly recommend it, I freaking love it!

Let’s Hear It For The Boys

IMG_7074IMG_7017IMG_7086IMG_7109 IMG_7094IMG_7107new2IMG_7024IMG_7076IMG_7139

Hello! This week’s post went up a little late (what’s new?!) but I’m excited to be sharing it with you because I had a lot of fun putting this together(even though it was pouring down rain the whole time!)

As you can see, this isn’t a normal outfit post for me. I asked some of my friends to be a part of a guy’s fashion post.

All four guys are wearing similar outfits which include hoodies, button ups and fall colors. I’ve noticed that button ups are an essential in every guy’s wardrobe. Obviously these aren’t the button up shirts you’d wear to a middle school band concert, because they’re casual yet classy. Something that looks great with these types of shirts are zip up hoodies and light jackets. Ephrem’s outfit (to my right) reflects this perfectly. These shirts are a chambray material and come in a variety of colors, like the washed out red one seen on Mitchell (the far right).

Payton(on the far left) is wearing a brown canvas jacket and a grey zip up which is great when it comes to layering. Layering is so important in the fall/winter because you might want to wear a cool t-shirt but at the same time you’re not feeling like getting hypothermia. Pairing hoodies and jackets is a simple way to stay warm in the chilly seasons. If you’re willing to spend the money, getting a thicker winter coat is also super smart. I’m obsessed with puffy Patagonia coats like the one Brandon (on my left) is wearing. I’m hoping to purchase one as soon as my bank account isn’t empty… which might be a while.

For shoes, each guy has a different style. You can always be more creative when it comes to shoes. Payton went for the Timberland boots, Ephrem has Nike Roshes, and Mitchell and Brandon are wearing Sperrys, and yes you can still wear these in the fall. Overall, if you’re a guy looking to step up your style this fall, I’d recommend button ups, hoodies, sweaters, and light jackets.

I want to give a HUGE shoutout to these four guys that were willing to show up on a raining Saturday to let me take these pictures!

You can also hit up these studs with a follow on Instagram 🙂

Hello and happy October! Can we talk about how fast this year has gone by… too fast for me to handle. As of last time, I said I would have a Homecoming post up, and here it is!

Homecoming was so much fun! I don’t mean to sounds so cliche but it was one of the best nights of my life. I was with all of my really great friends which made it even better.

I’d say that my group was the best dressed out of all the groups! All of the girls looked so gorgeous, and each and everyone of them has the same beauty on the inside. And I applaud the boys for looking so sharp. Bow ties and suspenders make me so happy and I loved all the patterns and color combos everyone wore. Not to mention that their hair was also on point.

My dress was borrowed from my cousin Allison and I’m pretty sure it’s from Asos. I kept the outfit super simple by not wearing any jewelry besides little stud earrings. Liam(my date) and my theme colors were red and black and I think we wore it pretty well.

Also I GOT TO WEAR HEELS! Wow this made me happier than it should have. Liam is 6’2 and I’m normally 5’11. With the heels I wore, I was also about 6’2. They were nothing crazy, just basic red heels. So if you’re a tall girl like me, it’s totally worth it to step out of your comfort zone and be  giraffe for the night. Just remember to stand up tall (which is hard for me because I slouch by habit), and hold your head high and rock those heels.

Thank you to all of my friends who truly made homecoming a night to remember!
