Recently I went to the Conservatory at Volunteer Park and did a photoshoot with Laura from Sincerely Laura Leigh! We fell in love with the location and the way the photos turned out!

I’m wearing my DIY jeans from a couple posts ago with a simple white top from Topshop. I layered a couple of gold necklaces and I will be wearing this combo a lot this summer!

I have some fun trips planned ahead so be on the look out for new posts!

Be sure to check out Laura’s post here!

Obviously this is a super different post from what I typically do but I wanted to take a risk and try something new! I’ve been itching to do a creative shoot with my friend Hannah for so long and we finally made it happen. We had such a great time shooting this look that was inspired by fairies and glitter, what more could you want?

Don’t worry though, Hannah had a tube top on along with a modest maxi skirt- lol, she wasn’t in her birthday suit! We both love the highlighted collar bone look and we could only achieve that if she didn’t have strap on her shoulders.

I want to do one creative shoot a month so let me know know if you’re interested in modeling, makeup, or any kind of art! I’d love to work with you!

Thank you so much to Hannah for being my model and willing to pose in front of someones house while old men tell you “you’re pretty” haha- good times.

Give Your Mom Jeans a New Look

Hey guys! I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted:( No excuses, just a lack of creativity and drive. Ever have those weeks?? Me too. The good news is I’m back and ready for action! And by action I mean more blog posts!

I’ve been seeing the “patching” trend everywhere. Seriously it’s EVERYWHERE! I’ve been wanting to give my mom jeans a new look and this was the perfect opportunity. Along with the patches, I cut out squares of bandana to place on the other side of the rips. I got the idea from watching Casey Neistat’s Vlog the other day. Even though I got fashion inspiration from a dad (Casey) I’m in love with the look.

newIMG_9477newIMG_94791. Flip your jeans inside out and cut out a rectangle of the bandana that will cover the rip.

newcollage2. Dot the No-Sew glue around the piece of bandana and place over hole. Let glue dry for 5-10 minutes.

newIMG_94883. Flip the jeans inside out again. Feel free to cut away some of the white strands to expose the bandana patch more.

4. Decide where you want to place the patches. First glue down, then sew around the patch to insure that it will stay on and to add a little more character.

And… You’re done! So easy!

What I love about this DIY is that you can add more patches as frequently as you want! If you find a new patch you love, by all means, sew that baby on!

Stay tuned to see how I styled these awesome new jeans!

Fashion Lookbook : Neck Scarves

(Watch in HD!)

Hey guys! I created a fashion film in collaboration with my friend Laura from Sincerely Laura Leigh! Both of our lookbooks (Laura’s will be up soon) are focused on the neck scarf trend which we are both loving. I tied in three different styles including a taste of french and 90s.

If you enjoy it, let me know by giving it a thumbs up or by commenting!
I worked really hard on the video and I hope you enjoy!
